Holsteiner Foal Auction at Falsterbo Horse Show

– It is a great pleasure we have been given this opportunity to present our Holsteiner breed at one of the biggest and most popular horse shows ever, executive director Roland Metz reacted upon receiving the organizer’s consent. Roland Metz has selected an absolute high-quality collection with much sought-after Holsteiner genes for this special occasion.
– By doing so we will provide a big stage at a world class horse show not only for these foals but also for the entire Holsteiner population, Metz continued.

Top-of-the-range bloodlines

Ten foals carrying top-of-the-range bloodlines have made it into the collection selected to a high standard. Beside the top Holsteiner sires, Casall and Clarimo, the young stallions Cahil and Charaktervoll are represented by offspring, as well. But there is more, with the much-in demand sires Chacoon Blue, Diamant de Semilly, Dominator Z, Cornet Obolensky, same as Olivier Philippaerts’ (BEL) internationally successful mount, Le Blue Diamant van’t Ruytershof, whose second dam is dam to  Emerald van’t Ruytershof – another sire represented in this stellar collection – also involved. But at least as important as these sires, maybe even more so, are the Holsteiner damlines which have produced the foals offered at auction here.
Like for example lot no 2, Pretty Woman by Cahil-Uriko-Lavall I from mare family 890. For any expert, this mare family and the name Lavall should bring to mind one great name, Casall. And this Lavall daughter is Kira XVII, dam to Casall. Or else lot no 5, La Belle by Le Blue Diamand van’t Ruytershof, whose third dam produced the 1.60 m jumping horse Lacrimoso HDC (Patrice Delaveau) by Landjunge.
No less interesting is lot no 8, Pina Colada by Charaktervoll-Quinar from mare family 474A. She is a half sister to up-and-coming eventer Chin Tonic HS, a horse recently on everybody’s lips at the Luhmuhlen event with William Coleman. And this foal’s second dam, Novia I by Contender, has also left her mark in the Holsteiner studbook as her produce includes Coolidge (Lars Bak Andersen), a 1.60 m level horse as well as Lyjanair, the National Champion now shown under the saddle of Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.

This foal collection put up for auction sale during the big traditional Swedish horse show will leave customers literally spoilt for choice.
